Location: Church Fellowship Hall or, on occasions, at the home of one of the members
The Christian church learned early in its history that women were an integral part of the life of the church. As Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church grew, the work of the women also increased. To further the work of the church, the Ladies Aid Society was organized in April, 1896 (This was ten years after the church, itself, was organized.)
This organization was discontinued for a short period, but was reorganized in 1917 with 25 members and has continued ever since. At present, there are approximately 20 dedicated members in this organization and we continue to serve the church, the community, and the Lord.
Some of the regular responsibilities of the Ladies Aid group are:
care and changing of the altar paraments; the filling of the liquid candles; the preparation of the sacraments; providing refreshments & coffee after Sunday worship services and other special worship services
The organization also serves luncheons for funerals upon request; makes and hangs cedar garlands for the Christmas decoration in the church; and makes monetary & food donations to the less fortunate. This organization is open to all ladies both members and non-members. For an added joy to your spiritual life, come and have fellowship with us.
